ADM offers the POSITAL  range of Dynamic TILTIX range of acceleration compensated inclinometers.

Within the range you will find the following interface options:

  • SAE J1939
  • CANBus

POSITAL Inclinometers

SAE J1939 and CANBus are commonly used on mobile equipment, such as excavators, dozers and telehandlers, making these new inclinometers a convenient option for Australian machine builders. Especially, as they have the option for two communication ports, so that you can daisy chain devices where needed.

The POSITAL Dynamic TILTIX inclinometers can compensate for external acceleration forces, so they can deliver accurate measurement under the harshest operating conditions, including applications where rapid motion, shock and vibration are to be expected.

To achieve this impressive dynamic performance, POSITAL introduced an electromechanical gyroscope as a secondary measurement to the MEMS accelerometers, which are typically found in tilt sensors. Signals from the accelerometer and gyroscope are combined by Posital Fabra’s innovative algorithms to filter out the errors caused by acceleration loads, so that the actual inclination is reported accurately.

This eliminates the problems associated with conventional inclinometers, where sudden acceleration, or vibration can cause inertial loads in the accelerometers, adding noise to the output signals and resulting in erroneous tilt readings.

The IP69K rating offers protection against dust and water ingress, including in high pressure wash down environments.

The wide operating temperature of -40 to +85°C means that these inclinometers can operate reliably anywhere on the Australian continent.
