Variable Speed Drive (VSD) Cable
When installing Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) / Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), good engineering practice would mean considering application specific cable for the job. Superior VSDs should be installed with equally superior VSD cable.
VSDs are commonly deployed in mining, water facilities, manufacturing, HVAC and fan systems, logistics, oil and gas, and other sectors which often operate in harsh environments, so it is recommended to install them with cables that meet these rough conditions.
If you are looking for a suitable VSD cable for your project, or need to upgrade your VSD installation, contact ADM, we can help sort this out for you.
What are the Features of TA6 VSD Cables?

The TA6 VSD cable is specifically designed to connect the output of your AC VSD to your 3-phase electric motor. It is energy chain rated, suitable for applications with a moving axis, or where cables run through an energy chain, and are constantly bending and flexing.
TA6 VSD cables have low capacitance for VSDs, and have optimal screen allowing you to meet all the required EMC standards.
With its UV-stable outer sheath, TA6 VSD cables are also excellent for outdoor use.
For VSDs with an output of 43 Amps or higher, TA6 cables feature a Split Earth design—where the earth conductor is divided into three smaller cores. This design significantly reduces the overall cable diameter and weight compared to conventional cables.
