Han Insert Female 6 pin+E 35A Size 16B Screw Termination

The Harting 09310062701 Han 6HsB-F-S is the female (socket) counterpart to the Han 6HsB-M-S (09 31 006 2601), forming the other half of the 6-contact HsB screw-termination power insert pair for size 16B Han B housings. Where the -M-S carries male pin contacts, the -F-S carries female socket contacts — together they make up the complete mated insert set for a 6-contact + PE heavy-duty power connection at 35A and 690V. The electrical ratings, materials, and certifications are identical across both inserts; the difference is purely the contact gender and the housing side each insert is installed in.

Female Insert: Socket Contacts for the Cable Hood Side

In a Han B connector assembly, the female insert typically occupies the cable hood (the mobile, cable side), while the male insert sits in the panel-mounted base — though this convention can be reversed depending on the application's safety requirements. The female socket contacts receive the male pins when the connector is mated, with the socket geometry providing the spring contact force that ensures low, stable contact resistance across the rated ≥500 mating cycles. At 90.48g the female insert is marginally heavier than the male (85.11g), reflecting the slightly greater material content of socket contacts versus pins.

Screw Termination with Wire Protection

Conductors are terminated by screw, tightened to 0.5 Nm. Wire protection is included to resist conductor fatigue from vibration at the termination point. No specialist tooling is required beyond a screwdriver, and field re-termination is straightforward.

Materials

Insert body is polycarbonate (PC) in RAL 7032 pebble grey, rated UL 94 V-0. Contacts are silver-plated copper alloy, providing low and stable contact resistance and resistance to oxidation across the service life of the insert.

The Han 6HsB-F-S is used wherever the female socket insert is needed in a 6-contact HsB screw-termination power circuit — motor connections, machine power supply, industrial control panels, and other high-current applications in a 16B Han B housing. It mates directly with the Han 6HsB-M-S (09 31 006 2601).
