Har Port Protection Cover IP65/IP67

The Harting 09455020005 har-port Protection Cover IP65/67 Transparent is a thermoplastic protective cover accessory for the har-port® series of panel-mount service interface connectors. When fitted over an unused har-port module — such as a USB, Ethernet, or other interface port mounted in an enclosure wall — it raises the degree of protection at that opening to IP65 and IP67 per IEC 60529, sealing the installation against dust ingress and water jets or temporary submersion. The Role of the Protection Cover in a har-port Installation

A har-port module installed in an enclosure panel provides IP20 protection at the connector interface — adequate for enclosed cabinet environments, but insufficient where the installation may be exposed to dust, moisture, washing, or splashing. When the service port is not in active use, the protection cover snaps over the har-port opening and restores the environmental integrity of the panel, achieving IP65 (dust-tight; protected against water jets from any direction) and IP67 (protected against temporary submersion in water to 1 m depth for up to 30 minutes).
