The Harting 09300241301 Han 24B Base Panel 2 Levers IP67 is a size 24B bulkhead-mounted base housing from HARTING's Han® B series, distinguished from the standard 24B base housing (09 30 024 0301) by its dual IP65 and IP67 protection rating. Where the standard version is rated for complete dust exclusion and water jet resistance (IP65), this housing additionally achieves IP67 — meaning it withstands temporary submersion in water to 1 metre depth for up to 30 minutes. For installations where the connector may be exposed to flooding, wash-down, or standing water, this is the correct 24B base housing to specify.

IP65 and IP67: When Water Jet Protection Is Not Enough

IP65 handles the majority of industrial wet environments — rain, hose-directed cleaning, splash. IP67 goes further, providing a sealed enclosure that survives brief submersion. This matters in food and beverage processing (where housings are regularly hosed or pressure-washed), outdoor installations subject to pooling water, marine deck fittings, and any environment where the connector base could be temporarily submerged during operation or cleaning cycles.
