Submersible velocity transducer 4-20mA output for PLC interface
The Monitran MTN/1185W is a general-purpose, top-entry, submersible, velocity transducer designed for continuous vibration monitoring in harsh underwater environments and areas with constant moisture or condensation. Built entirely from stainless steel and sealed to IP68, it delivers a two-wire 4–20 mA DC output proportional to sensor range. Due to its output signal, the sensor can directly be connected to PLCs, DCS systems, and other industrial controllers without the need for additional signal conditioning. The sensor comes with an integral heavy duty polyurethane cable and is available with a wide range of mountings.
The transducer covers a frequency response of 2 Hz to 1 kHz (±10%) with a dynamic range of 50g peak and transverse sensitivity of less than 5%. Base isolation is included as standard, mounted base resonance is 5 kHz, and temperature sensitivity is just 0.08%/°C across an operating range of −25°C to +90°C. An integral polyurethane cable which is braided over with stainless steel ETFE cable is supplied as standard at 5 m, with a maximum cable run of 100 m. Supply voltage is 12–32 V DC. Weight is approximately 150 g.
The sensor comes with two mounting configurations — ¼" UNF Female, and Quick-Fit Female — each offered across five velocity ranges. A wide range of mounting studs, quick-fit adapters, mounting adapters, and isolation adapters is also available separately.
