Intrinsically safe Submersible 4-20 mA Side-entry velocity transducer with internal Faraday cage ATEX & IECEx Group II approved

The Monitran MTN/2285ISW Series is an ATEX & IECEx Group II approved, submersible, side-entry, velocity transducer designed for continuous vibration monitoring in harsh industrial environments. Built entirely from stainless steel and sealed to IP68, it delivers a two-wire 4–20 mA DC output proportional to sensor range. The internal electronics are enclosed in a Faraday cage and isolated to minimise noise.  Due to its output signal, the sensor can directly be connected to PLCs, DCS systems, and other industrial controllers without the need for additional signal conditioning. The sensor comes with an integral heavy duty stainless steel overbraided ETFE cable supplied as standard at 5 m, with a maximum cable run of 100 m.

The transducer covers a frequency response of 2 Hz to 1 kHz (±10%) with a dynamic range of 50g peak and transverse sensitivity of less than 5%. Base isolation is included as standard, mounted base resonance is 5 kHz, and temperature sensitivity is just 0.08%/°C across an operating range of −25°C to +90°C. An integral stainless steel overbraided ETFE cable is supplied as standard at 5 m, with a maximum cable run of 100 m. Supply voltage is 12–32 V DC. Weight is approximately 140 g.

Three mounting configurations are available — ¼" UNF Female, M6 x 35mm, and M8 x 28mm — each offered across five velocity ranges.
