Multi-Channel Signal Conditioning System
Customers can customise the Modular 600, a rack-based signal conditioning platform for LVDT and strain gauge transducers, to fit their specific needs rather than being restricted to a set design. When a transducer's output needs to be boosted or transformed into a format appropriate for the monitor or logging device being used, signal conditioning is necessary. These amplifiers' broad gain adjustment range makes them compatible with the great majority of LVDT and strain gauge sensors from any manufacturer.
The system is based on a card-cage architecture, where users choose the kind and number of input cards required for their application from a variety of module kinds. Monitor, display, or data logger units can be added as needed. Choose your input modules, add a monitor or logger if necessary, and then choose a housing that is the right size for the job, complete with a power supply and blank panels for any extra slots. This is a straightforward three-step setup procedure.
Available input modules include:
- 611 strain gauge amplifier – 2 channels, gain 1–2000, ±10V and 4–20mA outputs, ±0.02% F.S. linearity
- 615 PY series amplifier – 1 channel, for RDP's extreme-environment non-contact displacement transducers
- 621 LVDT amplifier – 2 channels, gain 2.5–833, 400Hz bandwidth
- 626 LVDT amplifier – 2 channels with built-in sum/average/difference calculation
- 628 strain gauge amplifier – 1 channel, supports 1/4, 1/2, and full bridge configurations, exceptionally wide gain range up to 80,000
Supporting modules:
- 681 limit trip module – 4 channels, 6ms response, relay outputs rated to 30Vdc/1A or 125Vac/0.5A
- 635 digital display module – up to 24 channels, 4½-digit 10mm LED readout
- 650 serial interface/data logger module – up to 164 channels, baud rates from 600 to 57,600
- 631 power supply – universal 94–253Vac input, 80W
