DIS Rotary Position Sensors

Rotary Position Sensors
DIS

Designed for rugged and hazardous environments, the DIS rotary position sensors feature a non-contact solution, significantly reducing the risk of wear and tear and ensuring long life.

DIS rotary position sensors provide non-contact measurements working under the Hall effect technology, provided by two components.
•    the fixed unit housing the hall effect sensor and,
•    a separate magnet, mounted to the rotating shaft for the intended application (M10 Magnet Bolt or D43h 10mm Magnetic Disc)

This system works when the magnet, mounted to the rotating shaft, is turned, with the fixed sensor determining the change in magnetic field and translating these variations into an electrical signal. This process determines the precise angular position of the application.

ADM Systems features two absolute rotary sensor models in our range:
•    QR30N-180HB and,
•    QR4EMN-360HB-I-CM-UL

Both models feature 10-32VDC input power and 4-20mA output, and are fully potted, protecting from vibration and a broad operating temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C. These sensors are all encapsulated within an IP67-rated plastic housing, adding further protection from dust and moisture.

The QR-30N-180HB features a 180° range of measurement, particularly useful for up/down applications, whereas the QR-40EMN-360HB features a 360° range of measurement.

If you have a rugged application requiring a high degree of accuracy, such as excavator arm positioning, automated assembly lines or even robotics, the DIS rotary position sensors are a well-suited solution.
