The Harting 09300105425 Han 10B Protection Cover is a die-cast metal protection cover from HARTING's Han® B series, designed to seal size 10B bulkhead-mounted and surface-mounted connector housings whenever the connector is left unmated. What sets this cover apart from other 10B base covers in the Han B range is its dual construction compatibility — it fits both low construction and high construction 10B base housings, making it a versatile single-part solution across different housing depths without needing to stock two separate cover variants.

Fits Both Low and High Construction Housings

Most Han B protection covers are designed for a specific housing depth. This one is specified for both low construction and high construction 10B bases, meaning it can be used across a broader range of installed equipment. Whether your 10B base housing sits flush to the panel (low construction, such as the Han B Base Panel 2 Levers, 09 30 010 0301) or stands proud of it (high construction), this cover provides the same IP65-rated protection without requiring a different part number for each variant. IP65 Protection, Full Temperature Range

Fitted to the base housing, the cover achieves IP65 to IEC 60529, preventing any dust ingress and resisting water jets from all directions. UL 50 / UL 50E Type ratings of 4, 4X, and 12 provide the recognised North American equivalents: protection against windblown rain and hose-directed water (Type 4), corrosion resistance (Type 4X), and indoor protection against dust and dripping non-corrosive liquids (Type 12). Metal Construction with Fixing Cord, Double Locking Lever

The cover body is die-cast metal, providing the mechanical robustness needed for industrial environments where connectors are regularly maintained and panels can be subject to physical handling and vibration. An integrated fixing cord tethers the cover to the housing so it stays attached when removed to mate the connector, eliminating the risk of it being misplaced during maintenance. It engages via a double locking lever mechanism suited to the 10B housing geometry.

Clean Compliance Profile

This cover carries a fully clean compliance profile — REACH Annex XIV, Annex XVII, and SVHC substances are all confirmed not contained, and California Proposition 65 substances are not contained either. It is RoHS and ELV compliant. For railway applications, it meets EN 45545-2 (2020-08) fire protection requirements at Hazard Levels 1–3 under requirement sets R1 and R7. DNV GL approval covers marine and offshore use. Made in Germany.
