Digital USB Pressure Transducers

HIGH QUALITY USB PRESSURE TRANSDUCERS
14 February 2023

ADM is proud to offer the ESI range of digital USB pressure transducers in Australia.

The newest model, which was released in June 2017 is the ESI GD4200-USB and ADM is believed to have supplied the very first unit!

ESI GD4200-USB Pressure Transducer

The GD4200-USB is the GS4200-USB pressure transducer made better!

An international motor sports team is using the new ESI GD4200-USB digital pressure sensor to measure pressure in shock absorbers, so that the suspension system can be optimised to the race conditions.

The ESI GD4200-USB has a faster response time than the GS4200-USB and has a selectable reading rate up to 1000 readings per second (1200Hz). This ensures that all pressure fluctuations are captured and you don’t miss a thing!

The data logging software has also been updated and has had some nice features added.

Using a USB hub, you can connect and collect data from up to 16 GD4200-USB pressure transducers and display live readouts on one screen at the same time.

The GD4200-USB makes pressure measurement simple. With the ESI-USB© software you simply connect your transducer to your laptop or PC and away you go. The software recognises the transducer by its serial number. All software updates are available online and are compatible with all versions of Windows from Windows 7 onwards.

ESI GS4200-USB Pressure Transducer

The ESI GS4200-USB pressure transducer is ESI’s original model and was designed to measure, analyse and record pressure directly on your computer without the need for costly I/O interface boards. It also allows you to measure up to 16 pressure inputs simultaneously. The GS4200-USB gives you a highly cost effective, accurate and reliable pressure data logging solution.

These USB pressure transducers are powered by your computer's USB port, data is then presented on the PC via the ESI-USB© configurable Windows Interface software supplied with the transducer.

The data recorded by the USB pressure transducer can be displayed in graphical or tabular form, with a choice of pressure units and fully adjustable scales. Data can be saved to a file or exported to Excel.

Both of the ESI USB pressure sensors give you instant connection with auto-detection, and will configure automatically with your desktop or laptop pc via USB protocol.

ESI’s USB pressure transducers incorporate ESI's unique Silicon-on-Sapphire sensor technology, giving you outstanding performance and excellent stability over a wide temperature range.

Carrying Out Accurate Pressure Leak Tests with the GS4200-USB

More than a billion pressure leak tests are carried out on critical components every year. But several factors can prevent a successful outcome.

Therefore, it is important that the equipment used to conduct the testing is fit for purpose and removes the potential for human error issues.

The ESI GD4200-USB is highly accurate and gives a clear visual PASS / FAIL indication, removing the opportunity for human error.

Up to 16 GD4200-USBs can be connected to a PC at the same time, speeding up and simplifying the leak test process. This dramatically reduces production and testing time for components, meaning that production costs are reduced, whilst a reliable pass or fail result for each component tested is given.

When developing the leak testing feature, ESI Technology worked closely with major global manufacturers to give industry exactly what is required when conducting leak testing, in an easy to use and economical device.

With all pressure testing done with the ESI GD4200- USB transducers, a printed report can be kept for the records or even for shipment with the tested unit(s).

The GD4200-USB is a highly accurate digital USB pressure transducer that comes complete with free software. This software includes the Leak Test feature.

The GD4200-USB software makes leak testing absolutely fool-proof. Just follow 5 simple steps;

  1. Choose the desired duration and tolerance of the leak test
  2. Start the standard pressure test
  3. When you're ready, start the leak test
  4. You can view the tolerance levels on the graph screen, which are marked by dotted red lines. The duration of the leak test is also shown.
  5. When the leak test ends, a pass or fail will pop up. Easy!
