Example of Eurotherm Technical Assistance Offered by ADM

We received a call from a company in Bendigo, who had purchased on oven that had previously been used in the Holden factory. This oven had a Eurotherm 3216 temperature controller fitted.

The customer didn't know how the controller had been configured, or how to program and operate it.

ADM advised the customer to download Eurotherm's iTools software and also supplied him with a USB-CPI clip. By using the remote desktop software we were able to implement the confiuration changes required by the customer, and to upgrade the timer to advanced mode, allowing the customer to run the necessary temperature profile for his application. The Eurotherm 3216 controller already had an RS485 communications interface fitted, so by using a 3rd party RS485 to USB converter during the remote desktop session we set up iTools to operate in service mode and customised the the controller for simplified operation of the programmer.

As you can see from the below text message, the customer was vey happy with the results.

Eurotherm was founded in 1965 as a temperature control manufacturer by an innovative group of directors in the UK. Eurotherm soon expanded into adjacent technology areas. Independent companies were set up to manufacture Data Recorders (Chessell Ltd) and Control Systems (TCS / Turnbull Control Systems). All four companies achieved international success and in 1974 were brought under a single international holding company, Eurotherm International.

If you have any questions about a Eurotherm product, please do not hesitate to contact ADM Instrument Engineering.
